Woman Injured After Running Red Light on Route 23
Police: Female driver and two children in other vehicle were not injured.
A woman was sent to Morristown Memorial Hospital with a possible broken right hand and complained of back and neck pain after she allegedly ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle late Friday morning on Route 23 in Butler, police said.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Route 23 North and Center Court (by the apartments) at about 11:45 a.m.
While the woman, whose identity and age were not immediately released, was the only person in the northbound vehicle, according to Lt. Mike Moeller, the driver of the other vehicle had two small children in the car. Moeller said all three in the second vehicle were uninjured. The identity and age of the female driver in the second vehicle was also not immediately released.

Moeller said he was not yet sure if summonses would be issued as a result of the accident. The also responded to the scene. Traffic on Route 23 North was backed up for about an hour while officials cleaned up from the accident.
