• OCHD Releases Flu Shot Clinics Schedule (thesandpaper.net) — Tuckerton residents can get a flu shot close to home when the Ocean County Health Department hosts a clinic at Tuckerton Library, 380 Bay Ave., on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. Shots are covered by Medicare and most insurance, and uninsured residents can use the county's vaccination program, with high-dose options available for seniors and other high‑risk groups.
   

• Donate Halloween costumes ahead of Toms River 'Geekstravaganza' (app.com) — Families in Tuckerton can drop off gently used kids' Halloween costumes at the local Ocean County Library branch through Sept. 30, with donations going to a free giveaway in Toms River. You can donate during regular library hours, and the costumes can be used for a cosplay contest at the Oct. 3 FanNation "Geekstravaganza" or for Halloween itself.
