'Another Nighttime Burglary' in Verona
Police issue their second warning in 10 days about home burglary string.

Verona saw another nighttime burglary on Thursday – the latest in a recent string of incidents – prompting police to issue their second warning to residents in 10 days.
According to the Verona Police Department:
“Last night, [Verona] experienced another night-time burglary. This latest incident occurred in the Afterglow section of town. The actor entered an occupied residence, and upon seeing the homeowner, immediately fled from the home. No one was accosted or injured. Police patrols have been increased throughout the township.”

Police issued the following warnings to residents:
- Report any activity that appears out of the ordinary
- Keep your doors locked – especially after dark
- Arm your alarm system if your home is equipped with one
- Use exterior lighting as appropriate
- Call 911 immediately if you see something suspicious
