Woman Crashes Jeep Into CVS Pharmacy In Cedar Grove

A motorist crashed her 2004 Jeep into the front of CVS Pharmacy on Pompton Avenue last week, damaging the outside wall and smashing several shelves full of merchandise.

The crash took place around 5 p.m. on June 29, when the 57-year-old woman was attempting to park her car, police said. At that time, the woman allegedly stepped on the gas instead of the brake, sending the car into the building.

There were no reported injuries.

The Township Building Inspector responded to the scene and deemed the building safe for habitation.
