Because You Deserve the Best
The best reason to give up junk foods for a wholesome, natural foods diet: Because you deserve it!

That's the answer I give to people who are looking for motivation to give up factory-made junk foods for high quality, foods that have been created in nature.
You've heard the expression – you are what you eat. It's true! Our cells are continually regenerating and repairing themselves using the raw materials and tools they extract from the foods we eat. Fueling ourselves with processed chemicals and refined flour and sugar is the nutritional equivalent of putting bleach in our gas tank. Like our automobiles, we will experience internal corrosion and eventually breakdown altogether!
However, if we fill our bodies with high-test ingredients like fresh vegetables, fruits and grains, we can expect high performance. We can literally transform our insides so they perform like Hemi V-8 engines instead of inline-fours. Who doesn't deserve that?!

Can you tell I live with a car fanatic?
Some people object that healthy foods cost more than packaged or convenience foods. I look at it this way. On Saturday I bought some cute earrings that I just had to have. And the last time I was in the salon, I dropped (deleted- the car fanatic might be reading this!) on a cut, color, waxing and manicure. Being well-groomed makes me feel really good!

If I am willing to invest money in looking good on the outside, then I should also spend what I need to keep myself healthy and feeling great! I deserve it.
We all deserve to look and feel our absolute best...inside and out!
Eating high quality, natural foods will provide us with our best bodies by:
- preventing or reversing disease
- slowing down the aging process
- enabling us to achieve our ideal weight
- balancing our moods
- helping us sleep better
- providing us with abundant energy!
Treat yourself to a first-class body by investing some time and funds in a nutritional upgrade. Breakfast is a great place to start! Trade in your toaster pastries, "nutrition" bars with unpronounceable ingredients, or chocolate chip muffins for some homemade oatmeal. Pressed for time? Try this recipe for overnight oats – it softens up while you sleep!
Banana-Nut Overnight Oats
Ingredients:
½ cup of dry, old-fashioned oats (not quick oats)
¼ cup of plain, unsweetened yogurt or greek-style yogurt
½ cup of unsweetened, vanilla almond milk
3 walnuts, chopped
½ banana, chopped
1 tsp. ground flax seed
A dusting of cinnamon
Before you go to bed, combine the oats, yogurt and almond milk in a bowl. Stir, cover, and place in the refrigerator. In the morning, add the chopped nuts, banana, cinnamon and ground flax seed. Stir and enjoy!
