Technology is amazing. I just printed my boarding pass for a flight I am taking in 13 hours. While I am glad for technology today, I am thrilled for what is in my immediate future. Today I begin a three day journey to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. I am going to do my best to keep up with this over the weekend and will even try to include some photos and/or videos. I'm not too sure of my capabilities in that area but will do my best to give everyone as much of the experience that I have.
Over the next few days, at the urging of my favorite Patch editor, I will blog about my experience at the Super Bowl which will feature the team I have adored since the late 1970's. Getting to this point was a long time coming, however, for the expense was always a deterrence and the frequency of Giants' appearances in the big game has only recently occurred. I can recall the days watching a pathetic Giants team that included such "notables" as Rob Carpenter and Earnest Gray (although at the time I loved the way they both played). Recently, we have been treated to a much more focused and talented group of players for which I am grateful.
Tomorrow, we leave on a 9:00 a.m. flight to Chicago with plans to stay overnight there and drive to our hotel in Lafayette, Indiana on Saturday. For tonight, however, I probably will not sleep much as I am already giddy with excitement.
