Cabaret Performance To Benefit Wall High Band

Proceeds of final staging of three-night stint supporting music programs

Wall High School will be celebrating Cabaret Week with a special cabaret performance to benefit the school's band program.

Students from the high school's choral program will end a three-night stint of performances on Saturday, Jan. 8 with an 8 p.m. show. Proceeds of the show will go to support the band, said Wall High School Band Booster President Sue Peckman.

The cabaret performances are also scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 6, and Friday, Jan. 7.

Peckman said Ellen Hollander, director of the school's choral program, offered to stage the annual performance for free in order to support the band.

Money raised at the event will go toward offsetting the cost of summer band programs and other programs the boosters help provide, including private lessons clinics with professional musicians and scholarships.

"It's a really nice program,'' Peckman said of the summer music sessions.

The performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Wall High School Auditorium, 1630 18th Ave.

Tickets are $10 adults or $5 students. For reservation or more information, call: (732) 681-7156 or email president@wallbandboosters.org
