Duo Ready To Bring Island Beat To Wall Library

Jimmy Maraventano and Jimmy Maraventano Jr., two band members of Jimmy and The Parrots, are scheduled to play a free concert at the Wall Township Library Thursday.

The 7 p.m. show will be held in the library’s Community Room, according to the Wall Library Reference Desk staff.

Jimmy and The Parrots, a popular Jimmy Buffet cover band, specializes in an island sound. The band has played in numerous domestic and international venues, including several noteworthy Key West, Florida locations, such as Sloppy Joes, Schooner Wharf, and Rick’s Café.  Locally, the band has performed at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park and Jenkinson’s in Point Pleasant Beach, among other venues.

Jimmy and The Parrots covers  Jimmy Buffet hit and new and classic rock n’ roll, as well as original music.
