Electrical Fire Causes Minor Damage In Wall Home: Police
The fire was quickly extinguished, police said.

Wall, NJ -- A malfunctioning dehumidifier sparked a fire in a Wall Township home on Monday, Wall police said Wednesday.
No injuries were reported, Lt. Greg Carpino said.
Police responded to a report of working structure fire at 4050 Herbertsville Road at 1:19 p.m., he said. The fire, in the basement of the home, was extinguished shortly after the arrival of the local fire departments with only minor damage reported, he said.

The investigation Wall Fire Prevention, the Wall Detective Bureau and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s office determined the cause of the fire to be an electrical malfunction in a dehumidifier located in the basement of the residence, he said.
Carpino said South Wall Fire Department, Glendola Fire Department, West Belmar Fire Department, Wall Township EMS, Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, JCP&L and NJ Natural Gas all assisted.

Herbertsville Road between Allenwood Lakewood Road and Easy Street was closed for approximately one hour, he said.
