New Group Featuring Wall High School Singer Cari Fletcher on Thursday's X Factor
Lakoda Rayne group composed of contestants previously cut from the singing competition
senior Cari Fletcher continued her quest for a $5 million recording contract on Thursday's airing of Simon Cowell's X Factor talent show.
Fletcher, 17, was . Together, they became the final act in the group's category to continue in the competition.
That group became known as "Lakoda Rayne." The four practiced at Fletcher's Wall Township home earlier this year before heading out to X Factor judge Paula Abdul's estate in Santa Barbara, Calif., to compete in the round that aired Thursday. Video footage of the group at Fletcher's house shown on the show was shot by Wall High School graduate and filmmaker Ryan Hutchins.

The group sang Lady Gaga's hit "Born This Way,'' for Abdul, who is being assisted in this round by singer Pharrell. Only four of the eight acts in the groups category will move on to the next round.
Following their performance, some of the singers said that something didn't feel right, but hoped the judges would take into account their short time together as a group.
The show's grand prize is a $5 million recording contract and a spot on a commercial to be aired during next year's Super Bowl.

The results of Thursday's competition are expected to be announced during the next airing of the show, scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. on the Fox network.
Fletcher's parents, contacted previously, have said they are barred from speaking to the press for the duration of the show.
