The New Jersey Association of Health Underwriters (NJAHU) has recognized the efforts of Matt Roy, naming him the recipient of the 2014 NJAHU President’s Award, the organization announced at its annual conference in Atlantic City.
With 20 years in the health insurance industry, Roy has been active in the NJAHU for years, serving as NJAHU President-Elect and Convention Chair, Vice President and President of NJAHU’s Monmouth Ocean chapter and Chair of the Monmouth-Ocean chapter’s political action committees.
“With the Affordable Care Act in place and numerous bills working their way through the state legislature, NJAHU’s role as advocate for New Jersey’s health insurance brokers is more important than ever,” Roy said. “The NJAHU must continue to provide the most up-to-date information to our members about the constantly changing regulations they need to know. This organization serves as an important source of information for the legislators who craft those regulations.”
