• Car Leaves Road, Crashes Into Utility Pole In Wall, Police Say (patch.com) — Wall drivers may notice lingering impacts after a car left Belmar Boulevard near Gully Road and slammed into a utility pole, causing major damage but no injuries. Police shut down both directions of Belmar Boulevard for hours Sunday while JCP&L and Verizon replaced the pole and secured the area.
   

• Monmouth Executive Airport to close runways for month-long repaving (app.com) — Runway operations at Monmouth Executive Airport in Wall will shut down from Sept. 14 to Oct. 15 for a full repaving of both runways, though helicopters and hangar access will continue. The privately owned Route 34 facility, New Jersey's largest private airport, is undergoing the month-long project as part of an investment in Monmouth Jet Center's future.
   

• Shore Conference Football 2026 Preseason Top 12 Rankings (shoresportsinsider.com) — Wall football enters 2026 ranked No. 11 in the Shore Conference, coming off a sectional final run and moving into rugged Class A North with a new turf field to christen. The Crimson Knights return key linemen like Gus Stedronsky and Nick Rogers, plus quarterback Franny Scaramellino, and open with a big road test at Brick Memorial this Friday.
