• Teen dies when cars crashes into woods (starnewsgroup.com) — Wall Township police are investigating a single-car crash on Squankum Allenwood Road that killed 18-year-old Brick resident Joshua Guarino after his vehicle left the roadway and struck woods. Local fire departments, EMS, and paramedics assisted at the scene, and investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the early-morning Aug. 13 crash to contact Wall Township Police with information.

• Toms River Man Accused Of Using Zelle To Steal From Clients After Being Fired (thelakewoodscoop.com) — A Toms River man accused of using Zelle to divert client payments into his personal account was arrested and processed at Wall Township Police Department Headquarters. Authorities say he continued soliciting payments from clients after being fired in February, with subpoenas showing the transfers went to his own bank account before he was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
