It was Christmas in the 1800s over the weekend.

The historic village put on its annual Christmas event, with Mummer plays, hearth cooking and horse-drawn wagon rides through the woods.

The annual Christmas event is tailored to show how a typical day might have been during the Christmas season in 1836, Allaire officials have said.
