WALL, NJ — A small plane skidded off a runway at the Monmouth Executive Airport early Wednesday morning, damaging the plane but causing no injuries, police said.

The crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. at the airport at 1717 Route 34 in Wall. The fixed wing multi-engine plane had landed on the runway, but slid off the end onto a hill.

The five people on board — two pilots and three passengers — were able to get off the plane without injuries, Capt. Greg Carpino said. The extent of the damage to the plane is still being determined, he said.
