Voters will see a local name further up on the ballot, however, as Warren resident Paul Swanicke filed for the Democratic nomination to challenge State Sen. Tom Kean Jr. in November.

Voting in the primary is limited to voters who have declared a party affiliation to vote for their party's nominees. Voters registered as independents can vote if they declare for the party of nominees they wish to support.
