Warren Named One of Safest Places to Live
Warren Township was among the top 50 cities in New Jersey safest places to live ranked by CreditDonkey

Warren, NJ -- A credit card comparison website has named the Township of Warren as one of the best place to live in the Garden State.
CreditDonkey reviewed five areas to come up with its list for the state of New Jersey: odds of being a victim of a violent crime; number of robberies; number of property crimes; and number of burglaries.
To compile the data, CreditDonkey looked at FBI Crime Report data for 2014.

Warren was named 17 out of the top 50 CreditDonkey listed.

- Violent crime per 1,000 residents: 0.2
- Robbery per 1,000 residents: 0.1
- Property crime per 1,000 residents: 4.6
- Burglary per 1,000 residents: 1.2
- CreditDonkey safety score: 1.529
“Warren Township is Bernards’ neighbor to the south, and it’s got all the charm you’d expected with a smaller town,” the site posted. “It’s also a winner for safety, with only four violent crimes and 73 property crimes reported in 2014. That may be one reason why the city’s population has been on a serious upswing in recent years, jumping by 4.2% between 2010 and 2014.”
The top three safest places to live were listed as Washington Township (1), Westwood (2) and Hillsdale (3).
