Warren Police To Collect Unwanted Prescription Medications
"Operation Take Back New Jersey" prescription medication disposal program will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

WARREN, NJ — The Warren Police Department is participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)'s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day to allow residents to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, residents can drop off unused, unwanted and/or expired prescription medications to the Warren Township Department of Public Works at 1 Bardy Road in Warren from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. Studies have shown that more than seven million Americans currently abuse prescription drugs. Approximately 2,500 teens use prescription drugs each day in order to get high for the first time. Studies also show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including the home medicine cabinet.
