GREEN BROOK, NJ — Green Brook Police arrested two men last week that tried to stop their arrest by either resisting or not providing their name, according to the blotter.
On July 16 at approximately 2:30 p.m.: A Green Brook police officer was standing in line inside the Dunkin Donuts located at 17 Route 22 when a male exited the restroom walking towards the exit.
Prior to leaving the business the male, now known as Neville Copeland Jr., 30, Plainfield, without provocation and in an aggressive manner, yelled in a loud voice stating, "You got nothing f***ing better to do."
When the officer looked in the direction of the voice, Copeland pointed at him and stated, "Yeah, I'm talking to you, f***ing p**sy."

Several customers in the business appeared alarmed and offended by Copeland's remarks and behavior. One customer was so offended by Copeland's behavior she shouted; "Go get him" as Copeland exited the store.
The officer then followed Copeland to the parking lot of the business where he was met by another Green Brook officer.
Officers informed Copeland he was being placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. They instructed Copeland to turn around and place his hands behind his back. Copeland did not comply with their commands at which point they took control of his wrist in attempt to handcuff him.

Copeland then began to pull his wrist away and push back from officers. They further utilized a compliance hold on Copeland in attempt to handcuff him, but he was still actively resisting. Copeland was ordered to stop resisting and at this point, officers took Copeland to the ground and were able to gain control of his arms and handcuffed him.
Copeland was searched for weapons and then transported back to Police Headquarters for processing. Copeland was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest and was later released on his own recognizance.
It should be noted that after Copeland was taken into custody, officers learned that prior to their interaction with Copeland, he had been stopped and received motor vehicle summonses, related to an earlier incident which may have led to his aggression and improper behavior inside the business.

The caller stated it was a White Ford pickup truck bearing New Jersey registration X1924M with the name,"Santos Landscaping" on the side, traveling East on Route 22 and Warrenville Road.
