Somerset County Freeholder Peter Palmer, purchasing division liaison, invites residents to take advantage of the upcoming Somerset County online auction of surplus property. The auction will start at 9 a.m. Monday, May 12, and will begin closing at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 18.
The eclectic mix of items to be sold includes a 1996 Lexus, pickup trucks, vans and other vehicles; public works equipment; file cabinets; a solar control message board; drafting table; and laminator.
A list of auction items, along with terms and conditions of sale, is available atbit.ly/SCOnlineAuction. The Internet auction website is www.USGovBid.com. Photos of items are expected to be posted on the US GovBid site by May 12.

Items may be inspected Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, May 17, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South County Public Works Facility, located at 410 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
All property will be sold as-is, where-is; there is no buyer’s premium. Payment is due within 24 hours of notification and items must be removed by 3 p.m. Friday, May 30. The buyer is responsible for all loading and transporting of property.
