12 Charged With Shoplifting Thousands In Merchandise In Wayne: Police
One woman tried shoplifting $875 in goods from Macy's.

WAYNE, N.J. – Twelve people were arrested on shoplifting and theft charges recently, police said.
Many of he incidents occurred at the Willowbrook Mall, police said.

April 4
- Sofio Chumburidze, 23, of Bloomfield, for allegedly shoplifting $450 in merchandise from Lord & Taylor, police said. Charged with shoplifting more than $500 in merchandise.
- Natalie J. Molina, 18, and Elizabeth G. Hernandez, 19, both of West Orange, for allegedly shoplifting $95 and $115 in merchandise, respectively, from JC Penny in the Wayne Towne Center, police said. They were both charged with shoplifting.
April 5

- Diana Cecilia Delasfuentes, 22, of Montclair, for allegedly shoplifting $820 in merchandise from Lord & Taylor in the Willowbrook Mall, police said. She was charged with shoplifting more than $500 in merchandise.
- Juan S. Fonrose, 19, of Newark, for allegedly shoplifting $25 in merchandise from Macy’s in the Willowbrook Mall, police said. He was charged with shoplifting.
April 6
- Betsaida Fermin, 28, and Ana M. Berdiel, 30, both of Woodland Park, for allegedly shoplifting $295 and $285, respectively, in merchandise, police said. They were both charged with shoplifting. Berdiel was also charged with possession of an anti-shoplifting device, police said.
- Lyubov Ivanova, 43, of Lincoln Park, for allegedly shoplifting $315 in merchandise from JC Penny in the Wayne Towne Center, police said. She was charged with shoplifting.
April 8
- Andrew B. Crisman, 23, of Totowa, for allegedly shoplifting from GameStop in the Preakness Shopping Center, police said. He was charged with shoplifting. He also had open warrants for his arrest totaling $3,000 out of Totowa, police said.
April 9
- Bernard Gaffney, 46, of Caldwell, for allegedly shoplifting $300 in merchandise from the Stop & Shop in the Preakness Mall. He was charged with shoplifting.
April 10
- Jose A. Velez, 58, for allegedly shoplifting $200 worth of wooden pallets from Jack’s Foodtown on Route 23, police said. He was charged with theft of moveable property.
- Patricia L. Harvard, 55, for allegedly shoplifting $875 worth of merchandise from Macy’s at the Willowbrook Mall, police said. She was charged with shoplifting more than $500 in merchandise, possession of anti-shoplifting devices, and possession of burglary tools, police said.
