Donations Needed At Wayne Food Pantry: See Which Items Are Running Low
The Wayne Interfaith Network is encouraging people to "spring into action" and donate to its food pantry, to help 170 local families.

WAYNE, NJ — Donations from residents, businesses, religious organizations, and other groups in Wayne can help feed more than 170 families in the community.
The Wayne Interfaith Network is encouraging neighbors to "spring into action" and donate to its food pantry, as shelves are looking bare.
"The good people of Wayne have always stepped up to help their neighbors in need; thank you for your continued kindness and generosity!" WIN said in a news release.

Anyone in the position to donate food or household products to help local families may drop off donations at the following locations: the Wayne Shop-Rite (bin by the front entrance), the Wayne Health Department inside the municipal building, and at the pantry, which is on the side entrance of the Wayne YMCA. And, anyone in need of food assistance from the WIN pantry may call the township Director of Senior and Social Services, who screens all potential recipients, at 973-694-1800 ext. 3281.

Here is what WIN is most in need of:
- canned protein (sausages, chicken, Spam, tuna)
- cold cereals
- canned stew, chili, and hash
- canned pastas (i.e. Chef Boyardee)
- dry boxed pasta
- canned mixed vegetables
- peanut butter and jelly
- paper products (toilet paper, napkins, paper towels)
- laundry detergent
