Press release from Wayne Interfaith Network Food Pantry:
WAYNE, NJ — Summer is in full swing! It’s a great time to take a day trip, or to head out of town for a summer holiday. But hunger doesn’t take a vacation; that’s why the Wayne Interfaith Network food pantry operates all year round, to support 171 families in town who are facing food insecurity.
Right now, the shelves are looking a little bare, so WIN is reaching out to ask the good people of Wayne help to restock them. The most needed items are cold and hot cereal, peanut butter and jelly, canned soups and fruit, potato and rice sides, and canned pasta, chili stew, chicken, and tuna.

Donations can be dropped off at Wayne’s Shop-Rite (bin by the front entrance), the Wayne Health Department, and at the pantry . Please visit the WIN website, www.winfoodpantry.org, to find out the hours when you can drop off items— you can also make a monetary donation at the website. We are also accepting food items and donations at the Wednesday night summer concerts outside Town Hall.
WIN is grateful for the continued generosity and support of local houses of worship, businesses, organizations, and residents who make it possible for us to help our neighbors in need. If you are in need of assistance from the WIN food pantry, please contact the Wayne Township Director of Senior and Social Services at 973-694-1800 (ext. 3281), who screens all potential recipients.
