NJ Transit Train Strikes, Kills Woman Near Wayne Border
One person died after being struck by a train in Little Falls. Service is suspended between Denville and Montclair State University.
LITTLE FALLS, NJ — Montclair-Boonton Line rail service is suspended in both directions between Denville and Montclair State University after a NJ Transit train struck and killed a woman in Little Falls near the Wayne Township border, NJ Transit officials confirmed.
At approximately 7:32 a.m., Montclair-Boonton Line train 1002, which departed Lake Hopatcong at 6:40 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 8:17 a.m., struck and killed a woman just west of Main and Dewey streets in Little Falls, officials said.
No injuries were reported to the 52 customers or the crew on board at the time.

New Jersey Transit Police are leading an investigation into the crash, but TapInto also reported that Wayne police were on the scene.
At least two trains into Hoboken have been canceled as service on that portion of the line remains suspended.
