North Jersey College Radio Station Named Best In U.S., Again

It is the 4th time in 7 years 88.7 FM Brave New Radio has received the honor.

WAYNE, NJ — William Paterson University's WP 88.7 FM was named the best college radio station in the country recently.

It is the fourth time in seven years the station has received the honor by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) last month.

“I’m absolutely thrilled that WP 88.7 FM is maintaining its reputation as the best station in the nation," said Brave New Radio general manager Rob Quicke. “I congratulate all our students for putting their passion and talent into these stations.”

The radio station received four first place awards for best sports play by play, use of social media, use of instagram, and best promotional poster. The station was named a finalist in five other categories.

The university's television station received three first place awards for best sports program, best variety program, and best use of graphics.
