Morning Club Bread & Coffee Opening Soon In Wayne (patch.com) — Wayne residents will soon have a new breakfast spot when Morning Club Bread & Coffee opens at 163 Hamburg Turnpike, likely in October. The café will feature specialty coffee, fresh bread, pastries, and a full breakfast menu in a newly remodeled space designed as a community gathering place. Owners say they're still building out the interior and are currently hiring staff who are passionate about coffee and community.
   

2. $1.6M Dam Rehab, New Restaurant Services On Tap For Wayne Council (patch.com) — Wayne's Township Council meets Wednesday night to vote on $1.6 million in repairs to the Lionshead Lake Dam, a new restaurant operator for the Wayne Township Community Center, and upgrades to fire equipment and tree plantings. Officials will also line up private snowplow contractors for the 2026–27 winter, with the meeting open in person and viewable on TV77 and online.
   

3. Car Fire Reported in Lot 4 at William Paterson University (wpubeacon.com) — A car's engine caught fire late Tuesday morning in Lot 4 at William Paterson University in Wayne, prompting a response from campus police and an urgent alert to the community. The two people from the Chevrolet were already safely outside when flames began, and officials have not yet shared additional details as student journalists continue following the situation.
   

4. St. Carlo Acutis relic inspires faith at Wayne parish (beaconnj.org) — Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Wayne has received a first-class relic of recently canonized millennial saint Carlo Acutis, now permanently housed in a shrine at the back of the church. Parishioners, families, and students gathered for Mass as Bishop Kevin Sweeney helped welcome the relic, which parish leaders hope will inspire local youth in their faith and daily lives.
