Residents Demand Wayne Councilman Resign
Richard Jasterzbski is being pressured to resign after video surfaced of him swearing and yelling at a candidate 2 days before the primary.

WAYNE, NJ — Residents are urging 1st Ward Councilman Richard Jasterzbski to resign following the release of video showing him yelling and swearing at a volunteer and candidate two days before the primary election.
The 10-minute video police released last week as part of a complaint shows Jasterzbski yelling obscenities and cursing at Susan Enderly-Peracchio at the Passaic County Regular Republican Organization's headquarters. The confrontation allegedly stemmed from Enderly-Peracchio taking down a candidate's sign at the headquarters earlier in the day.
"You wish you were being f---ed by me," Jasterzbski said in the video. "You don't have to worry about me penetrating you at all. You wanted fair and square and you should have been satisfied with that, but you stood there and you let them corrupt the system of political process."

Jasterzbski received several emails from people in the days following the video's release, many of them calling for his resignation. The Wayne Township Clerk's Office provided the emails to Patch following an Open Public Records Act request.
"I am appalled at the actions of Jasterzbski. I can't even call him Mr. (sic) because he doesn't deserve that respect after seeing the video of his foul-mouthed, disgusting treatment of Susan Enderly," James Granelli said. "[Jasterzbski] needs to resign or be forced out. Actions and comments about "f in" (sic) bring shame to your town and give politicians a bad name. An apology is just not good enough in this situation."
A 31-year resident said Jasterzbski is a "poor excuse" for a council representative and is "an embarrassment to every Wayne resident.
"I am disgusted and appalled by such behavior," said the emailer, who did not give his or her name. "Such abusive behavior towards a woman has no place in this town. How do we go about getting him removed from his position? Absolutely disgusting!"
Others agreed.
"Your words and actions to Susan Enderly were beyond disgusting," someone named Maria wrote to him. "You do not represent anything we believe in and you need to resign immediately."
One emailer simply put "RESIGN" in the subject line.
Shaun Peterson wrote that he was "very distressed" about Jasterzbski remaining in office.
"A true leader and representative of the people would never do any of this," Peterson wrote. "If he remains in office, he will continue to tarnish Wayne Township, which he claims to have the best interest of."
