Sheriff's Junior Police Academy Announced in Passaic County

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Registration is open for the Passaic County Sheriff's Office Junior Police Academy, taking place over two weeks in July.

Young people aged 11-14 are encouraged to sign up and push their limits as they experience what police officers go through in their training.

Academy trainees will learn about crime scene investigation, working with K9s, and defensive tactics according to the PCSO.

"If you are up for a challenge join us for one week this summer at the Junior Police Academy, where you will experience an academy similar to the one real police officers in training go through," the sheriff's office said.

The academy is split into two sessions, which are one week each. One begins July 17, and the other on July 24. To learn more or sign up, click here.
