Wayne Man Indicted In Car Insurance Scheme: Prosecutor

WAYNE, NJ - A township man has been indicted for his alleged role in helping a Hudson County couple falsify a loan application to buy a luxury car before they burned it for insurance money.
Michael Ricciardi is charged with conspiracy in connection with an alleged fraudulent loan application, according to the state attorney general's office. He was also indicted on two charges of theft by deception.
A Hudson County couple, and Chester Jarzabek, 63, and Anna Jarzabek, 61, and their son John Jarzabek, 26, are accused in the alleged scheme, which involved a used Bentley they had recently purchased from a now-defunct D.I.B. Leasing car dealership in Teterboro, where their son, John Jarzabek, 26, worked as a salesman.

According to the indictment, Chester and Anna Jarzabek allegedly purchased the car and conspired with their son and the dealership's general manager, Hector Marquez, to burn the $139,000 car for the insurance money, said Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman said.
All three Jarzabeks, Marquez and the dealership's owner, Patsy Galasso, 75, of Cliffside Park, were indicted on two counts of second-degree theft by deception and two charges of third-degree theft by deception, authorities said.
