Wayne Woman Killed, Ejected From Car In Passaic Co. Crash: Police
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to North Haledon police.
NORTH HALEDON, NJ — A Wayne woman was pronounced dead after a single-car crash Monday morning in North Haledon. Borough police identified the victim as Merita Ziba, 54.
The accident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Monday on the property of the Holland Christian Home, a retirement community on Graham Avenue. Two people called police, reporting a vehicle went down an embankment.
Police found Ziba ejected from the vehicle. Officers performed CPR, with the help of a Holland Christian Home nurse. Paterson Fire EMS officials continued CPR until paramedics from St. Joseph's University Medical Center pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

There were no known witnesses to the accident, police said. Anyone with information can contact the North Haledon Detective Bureau at 973-423-1111.
