Wayne's Greg Olsen Might Holdout Of NFL Training Camp, Report Says
Greg Olsen of the Carolina Panthers might be a no-show at Carolina Panthers minicamp because he wants more money, according to one report.

WAYNE, NJ — Greg Olsen, one of the NFL's best tight ends and a Wayne Hills alumnus, might hold out of Carolina Panthers minicamp because of his desire for a better contract.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported recently that Olsen wants his contract to reflect his productivity. Olsen spoke with Schefer during a podcast.
"I don't hesitate to say, if you look back at the last four years... at not only the statistics, but the consistency, the productivity and the durability, all those things, there's nobody that can match up and has done what I've done," Olsen said. "That's just the reality of it. Now whether or not that can be adjusted and reflected contractually, we'll see. But the stats and the numbers, they all speak for themselves.

Olsen became the first tight end in NFL to have three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, a mark he set at the end of last season. He has been ranked in the top 100 players in the league and named to the Pro Bowl in each of those three seasons. He has also been one of the team's captains during that time and been nominated for the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
Olsen founded two nonprofits after his mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and his unborn son was diagnosed with a heart defect.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Olsen is the seventh highest-paid tight end in the NFL at $7.5 million and is 12th at his position in terms of guaranteed money.
Olsen told Schefter he plans to see how talks between himself and the Panthers go this summer.
"Hopefully, they feel the same way that we do about my standing here as one of our leaders," Olsen told Schefter.
