Bags Of Concrete Hit Car, Cause Mess On Route 1 In West Windsor
One person was hospitalized after her car was struck by a bag of concrete mix Tuesday morning, police said.

WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — Bags of concrete mix struck a car and left a mess on Route 1 after flying off a concrete truck Tuesday morning, according to West Windsor police.
The bags flew off a truck that was headed south, and landed in the northbound lanes. At least one bag hit a car, breaking the windshield and sending a 22-year-old Trenton woman to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The woman was suffering from lacerations to her arm, and may have inhaled some of the concrete mix from the bag that hit her car.
The driver, a 37-year-old North Brunswick man, pulled over into the nearby Buffalo Wild Wings and waited for police. His tractor trailer had been hauling about 30 bags of mix south on Route 1 when it began to sway shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
