• West Windsor to Expand 9/11 Memorial, Adds 2,983 Flag Tribute on 25th Anniversary of Attacks (tapinto.net) — West Windsor is expanding and rededicating its Twin Ponds 9/11 Memorial with 2,983 American flags honoring each life lost, and inviting residents to a remembrance ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Ronald R. Rogers Arboretum. Local officials, students, and community groups helped create the new Field of Flags to deepen the township's long-standing place of reflection.

• In New Jersey, There's a Bridge That Carries One Waterway Over Another (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Just north of West Windsor, you can visit a rare aqueduct where the Delaware & Raritan Canal actually passes over the Millstone River near Carnegie Lake. The 1868 structure, now part of D&R Canal State Park, anchors a scenic area for walking, biking, fishing, and paddling while preserving a fascinating piece of local transportation history.
