PSE&G To Install Transmission Lines In West Windsor This Week

PSE&G will use helicopter crews for the work, which begins Wednesday and is expected to run for four days.

WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — PSE&G and its contractors will use helicopter crews to help install the MTB transmission line between the PSE&G Plainsboro Substation in Plainsboro and the PSE&G transmission structure near Bernt Midland Boulevard in West Windsor on Wednesday, West Windsor police announced on Tuesday.

Work is expected to last four days, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting. Crews will pull the rope from one transmission structure to the next using a small helicopter. Brief and intermittent road closures are expected along Cranbury Road, Rabbit Hill Road, and Bernt Midland Boulevard in West Windsor.

Residents are warned not to enter the right-of-way during construction.Traffic control will consist of police and Traffic Safety Services (TSS). A comprehensive health and safety plan is in place.

PSE&G said it has secured the required permits and approvals from state and federal agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration, and any other applicable state, municipal, county and regional agencies. All work crews associated with this project will have credentials identifying them as working on behalf of PSE&G.
