Driver, Passenger Dead After 2-Car Crash In South Jersey: Police

Police said the cars collided when one was trying to turn left at an intersection early Friday morning.

VINELAND, NJ — Police said two people are dead after an early-morning crash in Cumberland County on Friday.

The crash happened in Vineland, near the area of South Delsea Drive and College Drive, at 6:52 a.m. on Feb. 10. according to city police.

The driver of a 2019 Dodge Durango was headed southbound on South Delsea Drive and hit a 2014 Ford Taurus, which was northbound and had tried to make a left turn onto College Drive, police said.

Both occupants in the Taurus were dead at the time of the crash, police said; officials are withholding their names until their families are notified.

Police did not say if the driver of the Durango, a 27-year-old Vineland resident, was injured.

Vineland Police said no charges have been filed as of Saturday afternoon. Officers ask anyone with information that may help with the investigation to contact Officer Cifuentes at 856-691-4111 ext. 4698.
