Man Killed After Vehicle Strikes Pole In South Jersey: Authorities
A passenger also sustained 'serious' injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to State Police.
UPPER PITTSGROVE, NJ — A man was killed and another seriously injured when a vehicle ran off the highway and hit a utility pole in Salem County, authorities said.
State troopers responded to the crash at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday on Route 77 in Upper Pittsgrove Township. A Chevy passenger vehicle was traveling southbound when the driver lost directional control and struck the pole, according to the preliminary investigation from State Police.
The driver — Jonathan Sandoval, 29, of Millville — was fatally injured. The passenger sustained "serious" injuries and was taken to a local hospital, said Tpr. Troy McNair.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available, McNair said.
