Rex The Wallaby Caught By Walmart After Escaping From South Jersey Farm
Police received multiple reports of the escaped wallaby bouncing around town.
Update: Rex was caught near Walmart on Tuesday night with "the help of some really cool kids and a really cool dad," according to Lots of Love Farm. He has returned home safely.
WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ — A wallaby is on the loose in Gloucester County after he escaped Monday night from an animal sanctuary.
"Rex" the wallaby got out of his enclosure at Lots of Love Farm in Williamstown.

Washington Township police received several reports of the animal hopping around the Williamstown Walmart area. They shared a video of Rex hopping around a parking lot.
Lots of Love Farm is actively searching for Rex at this time.

If you see Rex, don't chase him or try to catch him. Instead, call Lots of Love Farm at 856-728-4188 or the Monroe Township Police Department at 856-728-0800.
All Monroe Township police officers have been given a detailed description of Rex and know to keep an eye out for him.
Windy conditions prevented police from searching with drones on Monday. But a drone pet-locating company is now helping find Rex, according to Lots of Love Farm.
A wallaby is like a kangaroo but generally smaller. The marsupials are native to Australia and New Guinea.
Lots of Love Farm is an animal sanctuary with a petting zoo. It is located at 1928 Corkery Lane, Williamstown.
