2 Westfield Students Recognized As AP Scholars

Two Westfield students were among the 43 students at Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child to be recognized as AP Scholars.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Two Westfield students were among the 43 students at Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child to earn either AP Scholar Awards for their performance on Advance Placement tests, AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor and AP Scholar with Distinction award.

AP Scholar awards are given each year to students who earned scores of 3 or higher in three or more AP exams.

  • Ana Bambrick-Santoyo ’17, of Montclair;
  • Grace Coleman ’17, of Short Hills;

  • Kathryn Flanagan ’17, of Green Village;
  • Mary Hare ’17, of Florham Park;
  • Grace Johnson ’17, of Summit;
  • Daniella Lagios ’17, of Florham Park;

  • Anna McMinn ’17, of Summit;

Two of the AP Scholars, Hare ’17 and Lagios ’17, were also named National Merit Commended Students for placing among the top 5 percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the competition based on their performance in the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

The College Board also announced several members of the Class of 2016 were named AP Scholars, including:

  • Mary Reade Donlon ’16, of Basking Ridge;
  • Cassandra Ford ’16, of Summit;
  • Caitlin Manahan ’16, of Morristown;
  • Nicole Millar ’16, of Summit;
  • Alexandra Pohl ’16, of Summit;
  • and Julia Watt ’16, of Summit.

Senior Nathalie Beauchamps ’17, of Randolph, was also recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor for receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of those exams.

Five members of the Class of 2016 also earned AP Scholar with Honor recognition, including:

  • Margaret Burd ’16, of Morristown;
  • Emily McCarthy ’16, of Summit;
  • Rachael Molina ’16, of Westfield;
  • Mary Noelke ’16, of Chatham;
  • and Oona Quinn ’16, of Summit.

In addition, 13 members of the Class of 2016 were named AP Scholars with Distinction for earning a score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken.

Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child is an independent, Catholic school, coeducational in elementary school from kindergarten through grade six; and all-girls in middle and high school from grades seven through 12.
