3-Alarm House Fire Erupts In Union County

Volunteer firefighters found heavy fire showing from the back of the home and extending to the attic when they arrived on Saturday.

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Firefighters battled a three-alarm house fire in Roselle Park this past weekend.

On Saturday, just before 7 a.m., Roselle Park Fire Department was called to the 100 block of Walnut Street on a report of a structure fire.

Firefighters found heavy fire showing from the back of the home and extending to the attic, according to the fire department.

The fire escalated to a third alarm before being placed under control.

No injuries were reported from the scene.

"We’d like to thank all our mutual aid companies for their assistancem" said the department. "We would also like to thank the community for their support, especially Sunrise Diner and Dunkin’ Donuts of Roselle Park for their donations of food and drink to the first responders on scene."

Since 1901, the members of the Roselle Park Volunteer Fire Department has proudly and bravely served Roselle Park. They serve the Borough with more than 40 firefighters and respond out of three firehouses.
