Kerri Anness and Joshua Ponzio Marry

Miss Kerri Marie Anness, daughter of Kenneth and Janet Anness, of Westfield, New Jersey, was married to Joshua Michael Ponzio. He is the son of Dr. Nicholas and Patricia Ponzio, also of Westfield.

The couple was wed in a Friday evening ceremony at the Atrium Country Club in West Orange, NJ.  Officiated the ceremony was the groom’s godfather, Edward Olsen. A reception immediately followed.

Mrs. Erika Becht (formerly Van Anglen) of Linden, New Jersey, the brides long time friend, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included, the brides sister Miss Kaitlyn Anness, the grooms sister Ms. Sarah Ponzio, Mrs. Elizabeth Reilly, Miss Jennifer Hayes, Miss, Stephanie “Stevie” Moore. Miss Christine Martin, cousin of the bride, served as a junior bridesmaid and Miss Jennifer Martin, cousin of the bride, served as the flower girl.

Mr. David Gialanella served as the groom’s best man. Groomsmen include, Mr. Joseph Saunders, Mr. Brian Williams, Mr. Seth Augenstein, Mr. James Daly and Mr. Ryan Cahill, all childhood friends of the groom. Mr. Christian Cuellar acted as the couple’s ring bearer.

A 2001 Westfield High School graduate, the bride earned a bachelor in science degree from Monmouth University in Special Education. She is currently a resource room teacher at Washington Elementary school, and the assistant coach of the Westfield High School girls varsity soccer team.

A 2000 graduate of Westfield High School, the groom earned a bachelor in fine arts degree from Monmouth University. He is currently employed by Direct Brands as a graphic designer in New York City.

The couple resides in Linden, NJ.
