LOVING, SOULFUL HOUND SEEKS A FAMILY OF HIS OWN
Local Rescue seeks loving home for handsome young hound.

We would like you to meet Dudley, our 15-month old hound mix who came to Brendan's Meadows Rescue from West Virginia several months ago. Dudley made quite a trip from a neglectful home in WV where he and his brother spent all of their days and nights chained to a tree in the yard. He is flourishing now, in his wonderful foster home in Westfield. He is an affectionate, intelligent and handsome bundle of energy and love.
Shortly after his arrival at BMR, Dudley began showing signs of illness and he was removed from our "available dogs" list. The results of extensive testing revealed that Dudley was battling a gastrointestinal disease. Thankfully, his conditon is now well managed with a prescription diet and medications. We are in the process of tapering his medications, anticipating that his condition can be managed simply with a prescription diet alone.
Dudley's vet, (whom adores him, by the way) has given her blessing for Dudley to now be placed with his forever family. We are delighted by this as he deserves to be part of a family that gives him security, love, and a happy, happy life.

Dudley attended puppy school and received obedience training when he arrived several months ago. He has mastered the commands learned at school and aims to please at home. He responds happily to positive reinforcement.
If Dudley could write, he would make a wish list of his own including a playful family who will enjoy fetch, fetch, fetch, agility "stuff", cuddling, and quiet time together. He would also wish for a fenced yard so that he can run around, alot! (An exercised dog is a happy dog!)

One look into his soulful eyes... let's just say he'll "have you at hello", and rightfully so. He's full of unconditional love that is just waiting to be shared.
Dudley is a kisser and a hugger but not a lap dog. If you'll let him, he'll snuggle under the covers for the night, keeping your toes and heart warm.
Please contact our adoption coordinator, Christi, to learn more about Dudley or to schedule an appointment to meet our handsome guy!
