Car Burglary, Fraud, Warrant Arrests Reported In Westfield

The Westfield Police released its blotter for the past week.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A car burglary, fraud and warrant arrests were reported recently in Westfield.

Westfield Police Blotter – Aug. 4 to 10:

On Aug. 5 at 4:36 a.m.: A resident of the Genesee Trail reported a burglary to his motor vehicle that had just occurred. The resident told officers on the scene that he heard his garage door open and then close during the early morning hours. He then walked outside to see his vehicle, which was parked in his driveway to have been opened and rummaged through. It was found that a remote garage door opener was taken from within the vehicle after it was entered by unknown actor(s).

On Aug. 6 at 11:08 a.m.: A N. Florence Avenue resident reported that they were the victim of fraudulent charges to a credit card account. The resident states that someone made fraudulent charges without his approval or authorization. The resident reports there were two separate sets of incidents of fraudulent charges. The resident has suffered no financial loss.

On Aug. 9 at 1:07 p.m.: Luis Lagua Analuisa, 24, of Plainfield, was placed under arrest on the strength of an active no-bail warrant from Hillsborough Township in the area of Westfield Municipal Lot 1, (100 block of Prospect Street) following a motor vehicle stop. Westfield Police processed Analuisa and transferred custody of him to the Hillsborough Police Department.

On Aug. 10 at 2:48 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop at W. Broad Street and Rahway Avenue, Alicia Dunbar, 44, of Newark, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant from Millburn. The person was released on scene on their own recognizance. The person was given a future court date to address the matter.
