Car Crashes Down Embankment In Westfield, Driver Injured

The crash was reported on Sunday morning.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A driver was injured after their car veered off the road and down an embankment in Westfield on Sunday.

On May 19 at around 11:20 a.m., a driver of a silver Acura was driving east on Gallows Hill Road.

"The driver felt like they were going to faint resulting in them striking the curb on the right side of the roadway. They then veered left leaving the roadway into an embankment," said Westfield Police Sgt. Michael Walsh.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, said Walsh.

The Westfield Police and Fire Departments responded to help at the scene.
