Child Porn Found On Laptop, Union County Man Charged: U.S. Attorney

UNION COUNTY, NJ — A Union County man admitted on Thursday to receiving videos and images of child sexual abuse, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.
Joshua Cremosnik, 49, of Rahway, pleaded guilty by videoconference before U.S. District Judge Julien Xavier Neals to an information charging him with one count of receipt of child pornography.
From April to August 2021, Cremosnik received videos of child sexual abuse through a publicly available online peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing program, according to documents filed in this case and statements made in court.

During a search of his home, law enforcement officers found numerous videos and images of child sexual abuse on Cremosnik’s laptop and electronic storage media (USB hard drives), said Sellinger.
Cremosnik admitted to using the P2P network to request and receive child pornography materials and storing those materials on his laptop and electronic storage media, said Sellinger.

Cremosnik could face a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and a fine of $250,000 on the count of receipt of child pornography.
Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 5.
