CLARK, NJ — The Attorney General's Division on Civil Rights (DCR) formally launched a discrimination investigation against Clark Township, announced Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin.

The DCR notified Clark Township about the investigation that will look into potential violations of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) by public officials within both Clark Township’s municipal government and the Clark Police Department.

The investigation will include, but is not limited to, allegations that long-time Clark Mayor Salvatore Bonaccorso "abused his power and position" by using township property and employees to run his business. Read More: Clark Mayor Accused Of Abusing Power, Charged With Official Misconduct
