Driver Crashes Into Tree, Utility Pole In Westfield

The crash was reported late on Tuesday night.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A car crashed into a tree in Westfield causing minor injuries to the driver on Tuesday night.

On May 14 at around 10:30 p.m., a vehicle was traveling northbound on Mountain Avenue.

At the intersection of North Chestnut the driver lost control of their vehicle leaving the roadway and hitting a tree and utility pole, said Westfield Police Sgt. Michael Walsh.

The driver was not taken to a hospital and sustained minor head injuries, said Walsh.

The Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department also responded to help.

The tree was subsequently removed due to damage sustained.
