Driver Wanted In Serious Hit-And-Run Crash That Injured 3 In Union County
Police are looking for the driver of a Ford pickup truck that reportedly crashed into a Toyota Camry on Monday night.
LINDEN, NJ — A driver of a pickup truck is wanted by police in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured three people on Monday.
Just before 8 p.m. on May 5, Linden Police Officers responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on the 1100 block of E. St. George Avenue.
According to preliminary reports, a Ford pickup truck traveling west on E. St. George Avenue tried to make a left-hand turn onto Bishop Evans Way when it hit a Toyota Camry that was traveling eastbound, said Linden Police.

The Toyota continued off the road and crashed into a utility pole before coming to rest, said police.
The driver of the Toyota, a 32-year-old man from Roselle, initially refused medical attention, but was later treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

Two passengers from the Toyota, an 18-year-old woman from Roselle and a 38-year-old woman from Hillside, were taken to Newark University Hospital with serious injuries. They remain in stable condition.
The driver of the pickup fled the scene. Officers found the pickup truck parked on Charles Street a short time later. However, the driver remains at large, said police.
This crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau, and anyone with information is urged to contact Inv. Peter Hammer at 908-474-8505.
