WESTFIELD, NJ — The Farmhouse Store in Westfield will be closing after 16 years in business, announced owner Kelly Richardson in a video on Wednesday.

"This has been a heartbreaking decision for me to make, however, we simply aren't able to outlast the current climate and circumstances that we face," said Richardson.

The store's last day open at its location at 221 E Broad St. will be Sunday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m.

"While the storefront is closing we will keep our outlet and warehouse open over the next several months, at a minimum, to ensure we have ample time to make deliveries and allow our customers an opportunity to shop some of our beautiful home interior pieces and gifts," said Richardson.

Richardson also noted that this might not be a forever goodbye to Westfield as he is exploring options to remain in Westfield.

"Maybe you’ll see us back on the block soon," said Richardson.
