Firefighters Battle House Fire In Union County
The fire began on the first floor and spread to the second floor and attic, said firefighters.
PLAINFIELD, NJ — Firefighters were busy on Monday morning battling a house fire in Plainfield.
On April 22 at around 1:30 a.m., Plainfield fire companies went to the 100 block of Johnston Avenue for a reported structure fire.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire on the first floor that had already begun spreading to the second floor and the attic, according to Plainfield Firefighters FMBA Local 7.

The fire was quickly extinguished and brought under control. There were no injuries reported.
Other companies who helped include North Plainfield Professional Firefighters, Local 2958, Scotch Plains Fire Department, Westfield FMBA Local 30, South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department.
