Isabella Gelfand, representative of the Girls Learn International, Inc. (GLI) chapter at the Westfield High School and Karen Lust, history teacher and adviser of GLI at Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield will present a program open to the public on Thursday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Held in the Christian Lounge at the church on 140 Mountain Avenue, this is being presented by Presbyterian Women of PCW as its “gathering.” Refreshments will be served.

Isabella is the daughter of Presbyterian Women Judy Augustino. GLI educates and energizes U.S. students in the global movement for girls’ access to education.
The GLI program supports the empowerment of U.S. students as they discover that through their own creative initiatives, dedication and passionate leadership, they can create real solutions that address the obstacles facing girls and women here and around the world.

The Westfield teen has represented GLI at the UN and has written a play about GLI. She will introduce us to one of the characters at this meeting.
